A tragic incident occurred on Thursday night in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State, as unidentified gunmen fatally shot Alhaji Abdulmutallib Sansani, a revered third class Chief of Sansani Chiefdom.
An informant from the town, who preferred to remain unnamed due to the delicacy of the situation, revealed that the monarch was gunned down at approximately 10:25 pm soon after they prayed together.
According to the source, “The assailants pursued him to one of his residences outside the palace and carried out the heinous act.
“Having departed from the palace post-evening prayers around 7 pm, he met his tragic fate just a few hours later.
“It appears the perpetrators had been monitoring his movements, ultimately tracking and executing him at a property separate from the main palace,” the source disclosed.
