Assistance for PWDs Expected from Osun Anti-Discrimination Bill, says Aransi

Describing the Osun State Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill 2024 as a positive step towards supporting the government and People With Disabilities (PWDs) on their path to inclusion, Kamil Aransi, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Special Needs, commended the successful passage of the bill.

Aransi expressed gratitude to lawmaker Adeyemi Adewumi for sponsoring the bill and emphasized that it would not only ensure the welfare, health, and education of all individuals with disabilities in the state but also safeguard their rights.

Stressing the importance of the Disability Prohibition Bill, Aransi highlighted that it would grant equal rights for participation in decision-making, allowing persons with disabilities to actively contribute to the state’s progress and development.

Furthermore, Aransi revealed that Governor Adeleke is enthusiastic about signing the bill into law, establishing the bureau, and enabling its operation for public benefit.
