Paul Offor, the head coach of Sporting Lagos, expressed his regret to the club’s supporters after the team’s elimination from the 2024 Federation Cup.
The exit came after Sporting Lagos was defeated by Inter Lagos, a Nigeria National League team, in the semi-final of the Lagos State Federation Cup.
Addressing the situation, Offor stated, “To the incredible fans of Sporting Lagos, I offer my heartfelt apologies for our display against Inter Lagos.
“You all deserve better, and we are committed to striving for improved performances and outcomes,” he conveyed to BSN sports.
Sporting Lagos will now shift their focus to the forthcoming Nigeria Premier Football League fixture against Lobi Stars on matchday 28, scheduled for Wednesday.
The match will take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan.
