An Incompatible Blend: Leke, Pastor Adeboye’s Son, Says You Can’t Be a Christian and a Marlian

Leke Adeboye, the son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has expressed his perspective on the Marlian movement, which has been gaining momentum in recent months.

Sharing his thoughts in an Instagram post, the son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God emphasized that being a Christian and a Marlian are mutually exclusive. According to Leke, there is no correlation between “The weed and the seed.”

He expressed:

You can’t be a Christian and a Marlian. There is no relationship between ‘The weed and the seed.’

The term “marlian” is used to refer to an ardent follower of the controversial Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, famously known as Naira Marley. The Marlian movement is propelled by particular philosophies, beliefs, and ideologies.
