At the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, a 29-year-old man named Ismail Olaitan was arraigned for purportedly stealing phones from a students’ hostel.
Olaitan, who did not disclose his address, denied the charge of theft brought against him.
The court was informed by Prosecutor Insp Olalekan Adegbite that the accused committed the alleged theft on March 22 around 9 p.m. at Havana Royale Hostel in the University of Ibadan area, taking an iPhone valued at N265,000 and another android phone worth N170,000 belonging to Aishat Adeyemi.
These actions are said to violate the stipulations of Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate Mrs. Oluwabusayo Osho granted Olaitan bail set at N100,000, with two reliable sureties of equal value before adjourning the case to May 8 for further proceedings. (NAN)
