Mocking the current situation of Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello, former governors of Kaduna and Kogi States, popular social critic Aisha Yesufu made a statement.
Yesufu, in a post on her social media handle, highlighted the misconception of Nigerian politicians who believe that eight years in power is an eternity.
Her post read: “To Nigerian Politicians, 8 years is FOREVER! Little do they know! I laugh in ElRufai and Yahaya Bello.”
This reaction comes after the attempted arrest of Yahaya Bello and the subsequent declaration by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that he is wanted for economic and financial crimes.
Yahaya Bello is being sought in connection with allegations of money laundering amounting to N80.2 billion.
Prior to this, the EFCC had informed a Federal High Court in Abuja about the possibility of involving the Nigerian Army to arrest Bello if deemed necessary.
