Ado NULGE in Benue State Disavows Petition Against LG Executive Council

Following a congress meeting at the Ado Local Government secretariat in Igumale, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Benue state has distanced itself from a petition against the local government executive council of the union, expressing its confidence in the council.

The members of Ado NULGE reaffirmed their allegiance and full support for the union’s leadership, particularly commending Comrade Agbese Onazi’s chairmanship.

During the meeting’s resolutions, the group disassociated itself from the actions of an individual named Mr. Agbo Agbese, accusing him of fraudulently collecting falsified signatures to orchestrate a petition against the union’s leadership.

Despite efforts to reconcile with Mr. Agbo, who reportedly worked in Ado LGC while still officially tied to Agatu LGC for salary purposes, he was accused of instigating division and lodging baseless embezzlement allegations against the union’s leadership.

In their final statements, the members urged NULGE officials at state and national levels, as well as the general public, State Government, and law enforcement agencies, to disregard any misinformation or petitions from troublemakers.

Furthermore, Ado NULGE cautioned Mr. Agbo against manipulating the union’s name to undermine the administration of his younger brother, Hon. Charles Agbese, the caretaker committee chairman for Ado LGC.

The union members collectively assured their unwavering support and collaboration with the union’s leadership at the local, state, and national levels to contribute to the overall progress of Benue State and Nigeria.
