Chelsea Set to Replace Pochettino With Guardiola’s Former Assistant Coach

Reports indicate that Chelsea are in talks to bring Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca on board.

Sky Sports has disclosed that the Blues are eyeing him as Mauricio Pochettino’s potential successor.

Maresca, who successfully led Leicester back to the Premier League in their first attempt, previously served as an assistant coach for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Chelsea’s criteria for Pochettino’s replacement include aligning with the club’s structure, implementing possession-based tactics, fostering a collaborative environment, and handling media attention adeptly.

Moreover, the new appointee must be prepared to compete against the likes of Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.

Behdad Eghbali, one of the club’s co-owners, will supervise the selection process for the new head coach, alongside co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.
