The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has released a video generated by artificial intelligence through the Truth Social network in which he simulates the destruction of the Iranian island of Jarg, the country’s main oil terminal and a clear objective of the American country.
The dissemination of this video coincides with the return of exchanges of attacks between both countries. Specifically, the first US attack against Iranian targets in a month, which reached the island of Larak, located in the Strait of Hormuz. “Jarg Island being shattered!!! President DJ,” Trump’s message reads.
In the video, different bombings are observed that cause the explosion of a storage tank and an oil tanker. All this seen from an aircraft. In addition, several missiles are launched towards various points on the island.
In response, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bovard, has mocked the message as “comical.” Furthermore, he assured that oil activities have not stopped “not even for a moment” and that “operations for the reconstruction and renovation of reservoirs, and the reconstruction of docks and reservoirs” are being carried out.
The US already attacked the island in July
Furthermore, in retaliation, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has claimed to have attacked the Al Azrqz and King Hussein bases in Jordan with missiles and drones. However, the Jordanian Army has reported that its defense systems intercepted the eight missiles launched, without causing damage or victims.
Trump has threatened on numerous occasions to take control of the island or bomb it, since it concentrates most of Iran’s oil exports. In fact, in July, a US bombing had already hit its facilities, leaving at least eight Iranian soldiers dead.
Trump assures that “total chaos” prevails in Iran
After the publication of this video, Trump has harshly attacked the Iranian Government which, in his opinion, is mired in “total chaos” and is “incapable” of representing a “failed nation.” “It is finished! It has no Navy, it has no Air Force, it has no currency, it is not paying its soldiers or the police, inflation is at 300%,” he wrote in Truth Social.
In that same message he commented that “the only thing Tehran has is fake news from the US, the willingness to kill its protesters and a good dose of hoaxes”, while stating that there are already “more than 100,000 dead due to the protests” against the Iranian leadership, which must be tried “for war crimes against humanity”.
In the midst of stalled peace talks more than half a year since the war began, Washington has announced a severe package of sanctions to pressure the Persian country. At first it seemed that the solution was to opt for economic pressure, but Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has pointed out that the Pentagon does not rule out continuing to carry out “kinetic attacks” against Iranian targets if necessary.
