The United States Army has reported that its air force has attacked facilities in Iran, a day after a ship was hit by a projectile off the coast of Oman, an extreme that Washington has attributed to Tehran, accusing the Asian country of having violated the pre-agreement reached last week.
“The forces of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) carried out attacks against Iran on June 26, as a forceful response to the attack carried out yesterday against a merchant ship that was transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” he noted on his social networks.
This comes hours after the tenant of the White House denounced drone attacks by Iran, calling these events a “stupid violation.”
Iran attacks US positions in response
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard reported this Saturday that its naval forces have attacked “several points” where the United States Army was “positioned”, in response to Washington’s attack on Iranian facilities, carried out after accusing Tehran of violating the pre-agreement reached last week.
“In response to the aggression, the Army of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked several places where the US terrorist army was based in the region,” the military wing reported in statements reported by the Iranian public television channel, IRIB.
The Revolutionary Guard has assured that the White House has violated article five of the pre-agreement reached and has stressed that the United States attacks “have received the necessary response.” “This will continue to be the case,” they added, if the attacks continue.
