Heartbreaking News: Father of Two Electrocuted on High-Tension Pole in Bayelsa
Tragedy struck in Ekeki Police Station, Azikoro Road, Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, as a father of two, known as Amas, lost his life on Friday due to electrocution on a high-tension pole.
Amas, a local resident not affiliated with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), was working on connecting clients to the federal power line in a bid to address the persistent power supply issues in the state.
With the federal line offering a more reliable power supply of 12-13 hours daily, many residents like Amas sought to utilize it despite the risks involved.
Unfortunately, the tragic incident left Amas stranded on the pole for hours until PHCN officials arrived at the scene.
