19 Students Suspended from MAPOLY for Alleged Exam Malpractice

Suspension has been imposed on a total of 19 students at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, due to alleged involvement in examination malpractices. Additionally, two students received warning letters cautioning them against such misconduct.

Among the suspended students, four will serve a two-semester suspension period, while the remaining 15 face a four-semester suspension, as revealed in a statement by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Yemi Ajibola.

The actions were taken based on the recommendations from the Examination Misconduct Panel, as stated by Ajibola.

According to him, there has been a notable decline in the number of students engaging in exam malpractice compared to previous reports. He attributed this positive development to the institution’s efforts in raising awareness and preparing students for the job market.

He expressed optimism, stating, “This demonstrates the commitment of the management of this prominent tertiary institution owned by the Ogun State Government in combating exam malpractice and ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future careers.”
