10 individuals posing as fake enforcement officials apprehended in Lagos

An operation carried out by the Lagos State Government resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals who were pretending to be enforcement officials at the Cele/Itire axis of the state.

This development was shared through an update posted by the state governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat, on Friday.

Accompanied by photos, Gawat stated, “The false enforcement officials were apprehended at Cele/Itire axis of Lagos.

“Those apprehended include Ojo Oluwaseun, Rafiu Agbabiaka, Babatunde Ibrahim, Abiodun Olusegun, Daniel Olanrewaju, Aweda Kabiru, Olufowobi Michael, Olamilekan Olasupo, Bunmi James, and Iyiola Shola (a female) who were caught engaging in unauthorized enforcement activities earlier today using various counterfeit ID cards.

“During a press briefing, Mr. Olawale Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, disclosed that the arrests were prompted by complaints lodged by concerned citizens.”
