Yobe State Police Command: 30 suspects nabbed for alleged culpable homicide, criminal conspiracy

Collaborating with sister security agencies, the Yobe State Police Command has apprehended 30 suspects engaged in criminal activities across the state.

On Monday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, disclosed this in a statement issued to the press in Damaturu.

Among those apprehended were Mohammed Garba, 25, and Ibrahim Mohammed, 22, accused of fatally stabbing a man during a burglary at his residence.

Expressing sympathy to the grieving family, Abdulkarim assured the community that the culprits would face appropriate punishment.

He highlighted that many of the arrested suspects had previous convictions for similar offenses.

Additionally, items seized from the suspects include a knife and five cellphones of various brands.

“An undercover investigation has been initiated for future prosecution. The Command encourages community members to aid security agencies by providing valuable information on suspicious activities and criminal hideouts,” Abdulkarim added.
