Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, pledges support and cooperation to new Sector 2 Commander

During a meeting with the newly-posted Commander of Sector 2 North-East Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai, Brig Gen MCE Ejike, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, assured him of the state government and the people’s cooperation.

On Monday, Governor Buni welcomed the new commander and affirmed, “We are all united in the battle against insecurity. I want to guarantee you the support of the state government, traditional leaders, community figures, and the entire populace of the state.”

Governor Buni expressed contentment with the collaborative efforts of security agencies in the state, hopeful that the new commander would further enhance security measures throughout the state.

Brig Gen Ejike, the new commander, stated his purpose for visiting the governor’s office, saying, “My aim is to ensure the security of Yobe State.”

Before assuming his role as Sector 2 commander, Brig Gen Ejike previously served as the Brigade Commander of 25 Brigade in Damboa, Borno State.
