Miami City Police Force Honors Will Smith and Martins Lawrence

On Sunday, the Miami City Police Force honored Hollywood actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for their remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry in Miami, ahead of the release of the new ‘Bad Boys for Life’ movie.

 

Both Smith and Lawrence were presented with ‘keys to the city’ plaques and Miami police force badges, as well as granted honorary police officer titles, in recognition of their roles in the Bad Boys film franchise and their enduring impact on the Miami community. The Bad Boys movies have been consistently filmed in Miami, and Smith has been living and working in the city for almost five decades.

Smith celebrated the achievement on Instagram, stating;

“Been rockin’ with Miami for over 25 years and today me and @martinlawrence got the keys to the city and were officially made honorary Miami Police officers!! Big thanx @francisxsuarez and @pitbull (happy BDay) for setting us up! #badboysforlife,” the 51-year-old actor shared on Instagram alongside a series of photos and videos of the two men receiving their keys.

An official announcement was made during the event, declaring Jan. 12 as the “Bad Boys for Life” day in the city of Miami, which was met with cheers from the crowd.
