It has been reported that Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State is currently receiving medical treatment in London, UK for an undisclosed illness.
The information was made public in a statement released by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, on January 13th. However, no details about the nature of the ailment were provided.
“I am in hospital in London but we strongly believe that Allah is sufficient for us and He is able and capable to give us victory! Cheers, success shall be ours Insha Allah! Cheers to you all,” he said.
The appeal hearing against the governor’s election, brought by the All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate, Mohammed Abubakar, was scheduled for Monday January 13th. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, adjourned the petition until Tuesday, January 14th for delivery of the judgement.
