Iranian Foreign Minister Warns of Possible Attacks on Tel Aviv and Israeli Ports

Delivering a stern message, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahi described the initial attack on Israel as a precautionary measure.

He disclosed that Iran is contemplating the option of targeting key Israeli cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa along with their crucial economic ports.

During an interview with NBC News’ Tom Llamas at the United Nations Security Council in the US, Amir-Abdullahi emphasized that Iran does not have immediate plans for retaliation unless provoked by a significant Israeli assault.

He elaborated by stating, “Potential targets included Haifa and Tel Aviv, as well as all major economic ports of Israel. Our main concern was to safeguard civilian lives, with our actions primarily driven by military objectives.”

Addressing the issue of Israel’s future actions, Amir-Abdullahi cautioned, “Should Israel pursue aggressive measures detrimental to our national interests, our response will be swift, robust, and impactful, leading them to rue their decisions.”

Additionally, he compared the weaponry employed by Israel in recent attacks on Iran to playthings used by children, downplaying their significance.

Amidst reports of retaliatory strikes by Israel following an earlier assault by Iran, Amir-Abdullahi refrained from directly attributing the recent attacks on Iran to Israel.

He clarified, “The events from the previous night did not constitute a genuine military strike. The devices launched were akin to gadgets used for amusement, rather than sophisticated drones.”
