USAID dissolution could cause 14 million additional deaths in the world in 5 years

The cuts imposed by President Trump to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) could cause death to millions of people in the next five years.

The study, coordinated by the Global Health Institute of Barcelona and in which researchers from the United States, Brazil and Mozambique collaborate, which warns that North American cuts in foreign aids could lead to the world to catastrophic consequences. And is that more than 14 million people – a third of them minors – could die up to 2030 for the dissolution of the USAID by the Trump administration. An impact that for many low and medium income countries will be similar to a pandemic or armed conflict.
