US in Final Stages of Security Agreement with Saudi Arabia, Says Secretary of State

During a visit to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) General Secretariat, United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, announced that the US is nearing completion of a security deal with Saudi Arabia.

Media sources revealed that discussions at the joint ministerial meeting included strategies to strengthen relations and collaboration, as well as updates on the situation in Gaza, specifically in Rafah.

The reports highlighted the importance of an immediate ceasefire and the need to facilitate the distribution of essential humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Furthermore, a dedicated session took place between Blinken and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah at the GCC headquarters to address measures to enhance bilateral relations and the current state in Gaza.

As part of his itinerary, the US diplomat also participated in a special meeting at the World Economic Forum during his trip to Riyadh.
