Urgent: Outrage as Police Fatally Shoot Young Boy in FCT during Protest

Reports coming in confirm the tragic incident where a young boy was shot and killed by Nigeria Police Force officers in the Kubwa region of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, amidst the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest which has now reached its third day.

Tragically, the fatal shooting happened near the vicinity of Zenith Bank in Kubwa.

An eyewitness, who recounted the heartbreaking event that unfolded after the boy’s shooting, stated that the victim was not a part of the protest group.

According to the eyewitness, “The boy was not among the protesters but was walking by himself when the police, from a different location, confronted us with their firearms.”

The incident has sparked outrage with activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, condemning it as an unjustifiable killing.

Adeyanju emphasized that the boy was merely observing the protest when he met his untimely demise.

In a poignant statement shared with NewsNow, Adeyanju expressed, “IGP Kayode Egbetokun and his reckless officers must witness the aftermath of this innocent young man’s fatal shooting near Zenith Bank in Kubwa, at point-blank range on his neck.

“This is clearly an unwarranted act of violence as the boy was innocently watching the #Endbadgovanance# protest before his tragic end.”
