Reports indicate that Usman Ododo, the current governor of Kogi State, has secretly moved the embattled former governor, Yahaya Bello, from his home in Abuja.
Ododo made an unexpected appearance at Bello’s Abuja residence on Wednesday amidst a heavy security operation involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other security forces, with the aim of arresting the former governor.
Although the exact reason for the security measures around Bello’s residence on Benghazi Street in Wuse Zone 4 is not confirmed, it is suspected to be linked to previous allegations of N84 billion money laundering against him.
A report from TheCable suggests that an EFCC official mentioned to a superior over the phone that Bello was seen leaving in Ododo’s vehicle.
Following Ododo’s departure from Bello’s home, the EFCC personnel also vacated the scene.
