Showing solidarity with the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, youths within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) along with other party supporters gathered at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.
Identified as the APC Democratic Front, the youths expressed disapproval of Ganduje’s alleged suspension by his ward in Dawakin-Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The suspension of Ganduje has also been upheld by the Kano State High Court through an ex parte order that prohibits him from identifying himself as an APC member henceforth.
During his speech, the convener of the APC youth group accused opposition parties of fueling a crisis within the ruling party.
“We must stay alert against opposition forces and internal detractors aiming to undermine our chairman’s leadership,” he stated.
“We, therefore, caution those posing as our members and those sabotaging from within, to stop tarnishing our party’s reputation and refrain from defaming Dr. Ganduje,” he added.
“Let us unite and stand together in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic policies and initiatives designed to improve the lives of the less fortunate in our country and free them from economic hardships,” he emphasized.
