A Federal High Court in Borno has taken a significant decision to free 313 individuals suspected of being involved in terrorist activities, who were apprehended by the military.
After a thorough examination, the court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to incriminate these suspects.
During the operational briefing in Abuja on Thursday, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, revealed this development.
Maj. Gen. Edward stated, “Following the completion of investigations and related matters, the court has directed their release due to lack of evidence.
Consequently, they will be transferred to the authorities of Borno State for further proceedings.”
