Unprovoked Attack: Lagos Man Seeks Justice

A man is demanding justice following a senseless assault by street touts in Ojota, Lagos.

According to Ojay, a fashion stylist, he and his friend were walking last night when they were accosted by touts in their neighborhood. Despite ignoring the touts’ demands to stop, they were viciously attacked, leaving Ojay with a deep, profusely bleeding cut on his face.

Ojay further recounted that when help arrived, bystanders pleaded with the touts, revealing that the men were habitual bullies known for terrorizing and assaulting people in the area.

His plea for justice stems from a desire to prevent others from enduring the same ordeal.

Detailing the incident, he wrote:

At around 9 PM last night, a friend came to visit me and I walked with him towards his place just four buildings away from mine. Three individuals instructed us to stop, and I advised my friend not to respond.

However, my friend was suddenly slapped from behind, and as I questioned this, we were both violently assaulted. My friend managed to run for help from my house as onlookers initially refused to intervene.

When assistance finally arrived, many bystanders bizarrely sided with the touts, urging me to let the matter go due to their notorious reputation in the area. I could clearly identify one of them and know where he lives.

All I seek is justice, as we do not know who their next victim could be. This occurred in Ojota, Lagos.
