Following an incident involving a match official, the Nationwide League One has taken action by suspending two players.
The individuals in question are Victor Imiete and Joshua Omaji, members of Zeal Mind FC.
Reports suggest that during the match against AC Midland FC, the pair physically attacked the center referee, leading to disturbance and harm to the official.
In a memo sent to the club, the NLO informed about the suspension of the players.
The memo stated, “Mr. Victor Imiete and Joshua Omaji, both players from Zeal Mind FC, are now facing an indefinite suspension from all NLO matches. Any participation in Zeal Mind FC’s games will result in severe repercussions.”
Furthermore, the decision will be escalated to the Nigeria Football Federation with a request for a nationwide restriction on their football activities.”
