A Twitter user from Nigeria has sounded the alarm about the disparity in family support between female and male prisoners.
After visiting the female section of Nigerian prisons, @eketiette observed a striking difference in the ratio of female visitors who came to see male inmates versus male visitors who came to see female inmates.
She also revealed that some female prisoners end up giving birth in jail and have to live there with their children.
