Troops in the North-East and North-Central Regions Prevent Kidnapping and Eliminate Terrorists

In a recent operation, the Nigerian Army successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt by arresting three armed kidnappers in Lankaviri community, located in Karim Lamido local government council of Taraba State.

Responding to a distress call on April 18th, troops quickly intervened to stop three armed kidnappers from abducting Mr. Musa Arewa in Lankaviri community. The kidnappers, who had severely tortured the victim, were intercepted by the troops as they tried to take him into a nearby bush.

Upon their arrest, three locally made guns were seized from the suspected kidnappers.

In a separate operation conducted in collaboration with hunters and other security agencies, troops carried out a patrol to eliminate terrorists who had infiltrated nearby communities.

During the clearance mission, troops successfully neutralized a notorious terrorist known as Gambo Kachallah, who had been causing terror in the region. The affected communities included Garau, Paskere, Tella, Jukun, Farin Ruwa, Mashingi, Jeb Jeb, and Rafin Kada Villages in Karim Lamido Local Government of Taraba State.

Furthermore, troops apprehended a well-known syndicate involved in cattle rustling in Plateau State. The successful arrest was a result of actionable intelligence provided to the army.

As part of a targeted operation in Mangu Village, troops engaged in a firefight with the terrorists, resulting in the arrest of individuals identified as Peter Sale, Enoch Luka, and Hossana Philibus – key members of the cattle rustling syndicate.

Various items, such as a fabricated rifle, a fabricated pistol, 7 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, a motorbike, and 2 phones, were recovered from the suspects.
