Reports suggest that a brave Nigerian Navy officer has been tragically killed by suspected militants in Rivers State.
According to a former classmate of the officer, Ubaidullah Yahaya Kaura, who shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, Usman Muhammad Maiyaki Kaura, hailing from Zamfara State, was allegedly killed while on duty by a militant group in Port Harcourt earlier today.

It’s indeed shocking. I just received the sad news of the demise of our gallant primary classmate, Usman Muhammad Maiyaki Kaura, a member of the Nigerian Navy of 22ak and 69regular Rivers state. He was killed today by the militant group in Port Harcourt while on duty serving his country.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul firdausi. My last chat with him was on 1st January 2020. RIP Usman Muhammed Maiyaki Kaura”
