Tragic Incident: Kenya Loses Military Chief and Nine Soldiers in Helicopter Accident


The recent helicopter crash in Kenya has resulted in the heartbreaking loss of the country’s Armed Forces Chief, General Francis Ogolla, along with nine other military personnel.

Kenyan President, William Ruto, made this devastating announcement during a press briefing on Thursday, followed by the declaration of three days of national mourning.

Details have emerged indicating that the tragic incident occurred in the Elgeyo Marakwet district in the western part of the country, shortly after the helicopter departed from Chesegon village.

The high-profile military group was on a visit to Kenyan soldiers in the region when the crash took place.

The exact cause of the accident remains unclear as investigations are ongoing.

Reports indicate that out of the 12 individuals onboard the helicopter, only two managed to survive the crash.
