Tragic Incident in Nasarawa: Village Head and Others Allegedly Killed in Land Dispute


Reports indicate that the village head of Ebbe Oka and a number of individuals have tragically lost their lives in a land dispute in Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

The conflict, which erupted on Wednesday, also resulted in numerous injuries sustained by various people.

An individual known only as Osoebe, a resident of the community, disclosed that the violence stemmed from a longstanding dispute between the Ambu and Eki factions, both part of the Afo ethnic group.

In the aftermath of the clash, many residents evacuated their homes, seeking refuge in nearby communities and the surrounding bushes for their safety.

Security forces were promptly dispatched to the location to restore calm and guarantee the protection of lives and property.
