A DJ named Bashir Dauda was killed during a robbery at the Volcano Peak Court Hotel in Gwarimpa, FCT. The incident occurred during a nightclub event.
Confirmation of the attack came from SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in a statement released on Sunday evening.
According to her, the gunmen struck at around 3:35 am on Saturday, prompting a swift response from the Gwarimpa Police Division following a distress call.
After securing the hotel area, it was discovered that Bashir Dauda had been shot by the attackers. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Center Jabi, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctors.
The family requested that the victim’s body be released for an Islamic burial. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators, with further updates to be shared in due course, according to the statement.
