Just four days after joyously celebrating her 54th birthday, Olakunbi Adene, a well-known caterer in Ondo State, met a gruesome end at her residence, where she was found in a pool of blood.
The vibrant mother of two, residing on Oda Road in Akure, was remembered by a local resident for her lively birthday festivities before the tragic incident that claimed her life.
Sharing on social media platforms her birthday celebrations which were flooded with well-wishes, the news of her untimely death shocked many who had just celebrated with her.
Expressing his disbelief, the late Adene’s husband, Dele Adene, spoke on the horrifying discovery, saying, “I received the news that my wife was discovered lifeless on her bed, surrounded by blood, indicating a violent end.”
Voicing his frustration over the lack of progress in apprehending the perpetrators, he emphasized the importance of tracking her phone and questioned the unawareness of such an event within the building.
Confirming her awareness of the situation, the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, assured ongoing investigations into the distressing incident.
