Tragedy struck the Maidalan Gombe family of Ahmad Shehu as six of their members lost their lives in a fatal road crash on the Azare-Gombe Road over the weekend.
The heartbreaking incident was confirmed in an official press release issued by the Director-General Press Affairs of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, Ismaila Misilli.
Governor Yahaya, along with the Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III, and numerous other mourners, attended the funeral prayers to pay their respects and offer condolences to the grieving family.
Expressing deep sorrow and shock over the loss, the governor extended his sympathies and described the incident as a great tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Maidalan Gombe family and all those affected by this devastating loss. The impact of losing six family members in such a tragic accident is deeply felt not just within your household but across the entire Gombe community,” Governor Yahaya conveyed.
He added, “In this difficult and sorrowful time, no words can truly console the grief you are enduring. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you navigate through this period of immense sadness.”
Governor Yahaya offered prayers for the departed souls and beseeched Allah for forgiveness of their sins, praying for their entry into Aljannat Firdaus.
