Thomas Tuchel points out three key reasons behind Bayern Munich’s 2-1 loss to Real Madrid

Following their defeat in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich head coach, Thomas Tuchel, highlighted the factors that led to their 2-1 loss.

The decisive goals were scored by Joselu in the dying minutes, overturning Alphonso Davies’ earlier strike that had rattled the Bernabeu crowd.

Real Madrid will now face Borussia Dortmund, Bayern’s Bundesliga counterparts, in the final set to take place on June 1.

Speaking to DAZN, Tuchel expressed his disappointment, stating: “The loss is painful. Recovery will take time, but we poured our hearts out on the field. While it’s hard to come to terms with, we accept the reality of the outcome. No regrets. However, the match was influenced by a high number of injuries, several substitutions, and players suffering from cramps.”

With this defeat, Bayern Munich will conclude the current season without securing any silverware, and Tuchel is on track to depart from the club after only 14 months.
