The plea for the safe return of our missing officials – NYSC implores Imo and Anambra authorities

Urging the security agencies in Anambra and Imo States, as well as the respective state governments, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is making a heartfelt appeal for the secure release of two missing officials.
According to a report by NewsNow, the two officials disappeared on Monday, July 29, 2024, while traveling between Onitsha and Owerri roads on their way to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.

The individuals in question are the NYSC Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator, Mr. Okun Christopher, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong.

At the time they were last in contact, they were traveling in a white official Hilux vehicle with the registration number 27D31FG.

In a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, Director of Information and Public Relations, the NYSC called on all compassionate individuals in both states to aid the security agencies in locating and rescuing the missing NYSC officials.

The statement emphasized, “Those with valuable information about their whereabouts should reach out to law enforcement authorities in Anambra and Imo States, any of the 37 NYSC State Secretariats, Area Offices, the National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, or the nearest police station for prompt action.”
