The FA Cup Replays Eliminated

Starting from next season, the FA has formally abolished FA Cup replays from the initial round proper.

Both the FA and Premier League have come to a mutual agreement in order to bolster the competition.

This revised format is set to be in effect for a minimum of six seasons.

Consequently, all matches will be held on weekends, except for the fourth round which has a designated window spanning from Friday to Wednesday.

Furthermore, the fourth, fifth, and quarter-final rounds will be organized during exclusive periods devoid of Premier League fixtures.

The FA Cup final will now take place on the Saturday of the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season.

The elimination of FA Cup replays marks a significant change in the structure of the competition.
