‘The day my husband passed away, I was forced out of our home,’ says the wife of Nollywood actor Ajigijaga

In a candid interview on the Talk To B show, the widow of the late Yoruba movie icon, Mufutau Sanni Abdulahi, popularly known as Ajigijaga, has shed light on the mistreatment she and her children endured at the hands of her late husband’s relatives following his demise.

Recalling the tragic events, she shared how she was immediately expelled from their residence on the very day he passed away, leaving her and her kids without any possessions.

Without hesitation, she mentioned her current reliance on street vending to support her family, expressing the challenges she has faced in receiving assistance from others.

“On the day of his demise, his family compelled me to vacate our residence, citing inability to support me and my children. I did not take a single item from the house, not even clothing; it was just me and my kids,” she candidly revealed.

“Now that he is no longer with us, I find myself in the streets as a vendor, a means of survival he never permitted me during his lifetime. I engage in hawking to ensure my children are fed,” she added.

“I encountered reluctance from individuals who were hesitant to offer aid, fearing potential misinterpretation and speculations of inappropriate relationships,” she expressed her dismay.
