The failed coup against Ganduje: Insights from APC chairpersons

Expressing unwavering support, the Forum of All Progressives Congress State Chairmen has delivered a vote of confidence in the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.

A delegation comprising 37 state party chairmen revealed that there was an attempted coup to oust Ganduje from his position as the APC National Chairman. However, this coup ultimately proved unsuccessful.

During a solidarity visit to the party’s secretariat in Abuja, the chairpersons declared their allegiance to Ganduje and highlighted their commitment to stand by him.

Lagos APC chairman and the acting head of the forum, Cornelius Ojelabi, emphasized their unified stance in support of Ganduje. He affirmed their readiness to protect him from any external threats.

Addressing Ganduje, Ojelabi stated, “We affirm your leadership at the helm of affairs. Notably, those behind the failed coup lacked recognition within the party. We are determined to shield you from the humiliation faced by past chairmen of the party.

“The orchestrated move was essentially a coup d’état. Yet, as evident, this coup has faltered. Our unwavering support for you remains steadfast, at all times and under any circumstances,” he added.
