The Contract of David Moyes with West Ham Comes to an End

West Ham United announced on Monday evening that David Moyes will be leaving the club by mutual consent as his contract is coming to a close at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Having been in charge for four and a half years at the London Stadium, Moyes departs leaving a legacy that includes two impressive top-seven finishes in the Premier League and successful runs in the UEFA Europa League, where they reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals.

The highlight of his tenure was securing victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, as West Ham triumphed with a 2-1 win over ACF Fiorentina in Prague. This victory marked the club’s first major trophy since the 1980 FA Cup and their first European success since 1965.

As Moyes prepares to leave, West Ham has begun the process of finding his successor, signaling the start of a new era for the club.

West Ham’s statement on the matter included, “West Ham United can confirm David Moyes will leave the Club by mutual consent at the end of the 2023/24 season, when his contract expires.”
