The commander of IPOB/ESN in Ojoto has been eliminated by troops

Amid a clearance operation in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully neutralised Tochukwu, also known as Ojoto, the commander of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their security arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The Army’s official X handle confirmed this development in a recent post, revealing that the Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA was acting on credible intelligence during their operation around Udda, Ihittukwa, and Orsumoghu in Orsu Local Government Area.

During the clash with the terrorists, who resorted to using Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) as a defense mechanism, the joint troops displayed their superior firepower which compelled the criminals to flee in disarray.

As stated in the post, “Four of the irredentists were neutralized in the encounter, while others managed to escape with gunshot wounds. Tochukwu, known as Ojoto, the commander of Ihietukwa Command under IPOB/ESN, was successfully neutralised despite the various protective charms on his person.”

Additionally, a significant cache of items was discovered in their hideouts during the operation, including an AK-47 rifle with two magazines, two automatic pump action guns, three handheld Baofeng radios, a laptop, and a Techno phone. Other items seized include car keys, suspected marijuana, Biafran currencies, five IEDs, materials for making IEDs, batteries for detonation, and a variety of charms.
