The Call for Greater Effort from Nasarawa Amazons Players ahead of NWFL Playoff

Players of Nasarawa Amazons have received a clear directive to intensify their efforts in preparation for the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League Super Six playoffs.

Hailing from Lafia, the club has successfully secured a spot in the season-ending tournament.

Delivering a motivational speech to the players, Hajiya Husaina Suleiman Nagog, the Chairperson of the club, emphasized the need for heightened dedication.

In recognition of their achievement in qualifying for the Super Six, the club’s management generously rewarded the players with a cash gift.

“My expectation is for you ladies to persevere in your endeavors, bringing pride to our sports-loving and esteemed Governor Engr A.A Sule, as well as to make Nasarawa State, myself, the Chairperson, and other developments currently underway in improving your welfare and salaries, proud,” she expressed.

She further acknowledged the team’s efforts by presenting them with a gratuity of three hundred thousand naira, designated for refreshments, with the promise of further support from the government should they emerge victorious and bring the trophy back to Nasarawa state.

Nasarawa Amazons are set to clash with formidable opponents including Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens, Heartland Queens, and Edo Queens in the pursuit of the 2024 NWFL title.
