Testifying in the ongoing hush money trial against former President Donald Trump, porn star Stormy Daniels shared that her life spiraled into disarray following the exposure of the hush-money agreement aimed at keeping silent about their alleged sexual encounter.
During her testimony to the New York jury, Daniels recounted feeling ostracized and harassed at home due to the hush money revelation, stating it brought chaos into her life. She expressed how her cover was blown, leading to inquiries from her husband and friends.
Detailing the alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump and the subsequent $130,000 hush money payment she received during his 2016 presidential campaign, Daniels revealed her concerns about not receiving the payment if he won the election.
Despite honoring the agreement by denying the sexual encounter with Trump in a 2018 interview with the Wall Street Journal, Daniels admitted that her original motivation was not financial gain but rather the desire to publicize the story, especially amidst the sexual misconduct accusations against Trump during his presidential bid.
As she testified, Trump, now 77 and the Republican candidate for president again in the current election year, showed no visible reaction from the witness stand. He denies the allegations and pleads not guilty to charges of falsifying business records related to the hush money payment to Daniels.
According to Daniels, Trump made advances during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where he allegedly remarked, “this is the only way you’re getting out of the trailer park.” She recounted feeling like her freedom was hindered as he blocked the exit, leading to a blackout experience despite being sober, only to awaken with her clothes removed.
Daniels disclosed that she felt powerless to object when Trump made sexual advances, stating she did not vocalize any resistance during the encounter.
Following the incident, Daniels swiftly exited the hotel room, recounting Trump’s behavior in his hotel suite wearing satin pyjamas and his request for her to spank him with a magazine, which she carried out as he had dared her. She recalled a shift in his demeanor following the act, noting he became more respectful afterwards.
