The town of Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu State mourned deeply on Friday as Junior Pope, also known as John Odonwodo, was laid to rest. The funeral proceedings began at 10:00 am with a commendation mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Ukehe. The late actor was then laid in state at his father’s compound, where family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers paid their final respects before his internment at a private venue around 1:30 pm. The burial ceremony was filled with sorrow as colleagues and fans gathered to bid farewell to the beloved actor. The ongoing burial ceremony is attended by numerous Nollywood personalities. The funeral mass is being conducted by Rt Rev Godfrey Onah, the Bishop of Nsukka Catholic Diocese.
