There is uncertainty surrounding Asisat Oshoala’s availability for the upcoming Super Falcons 2024 Olympic Games qualifying match against Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
During the first leg in Abuja, Oshoala was listed as a substitute due to her late arrival at the camp, just a day before the match.
Head coach Randy Waldrum stated that the forward was deemed unfit for the previous game and refrained from confirming her participation in the returning match.
Speaking to the press, Waldrum expressed, “I don’t believe she was adequately prepared for the previous match, and her involvement in the upcoming fixture remains uncertain.”
Meanwhile, the Super Falcons are scheduled to depart for South Africa tonight in preparation for the critical second leg of the final qualifying round, with a narrow 1-0 lead secured from the initial encounter.
