Successful Rescue Operation by Security Agents in Kebbi State

In Kebbi State, a rescue operation was carried out on Tuesday by a team of security personnel including the Nigeria Army, civil defence, Department of State Services, and local vigilantes in Suru and Maiyama Local Government Areas. They successfully rescued two individuals who were abducted by suspected bandits in the region.

Speaking to reporters in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, on Wednesday, the Director of the Cabinet Office’s Security Service, AbdulRahman Zagga, credited the operation’s success to the support provided by Idris in equipping the security agencies in the state.

Detailing the operation, Zagga mentioned that the security team tracked the bandits from Giro forest through Boma to Zugu Liba forest where the abductees were found and rescued.

The director highlighted that the kidnappers were forced to retreat due to the intense pressure from the security operation, leaving behind their captives.

He added that the rescued individuals were handed over to the Village Head and the Vigilante Chairman of Zugu Liba for the purpose of reuniting them with their families.

Zagga urged the public to provide valuable information to support the security forces in their mission to address the security challenges in the state effectively.
