Successful Police Operation Leads to Arrest of Suspects in Jigawa


Recent police operations in Jigawa State resulted in the arrest of seven suspects in the Kazaure and Dutse local government areas.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, revealed this information in a statement provided to NewsNow.

According to official reports, a police team from the Dutse and Kazaure Divisional Police Headquarters conducted raids on criminal hideouts located at Zai Hills, Gindin Dinya, and Bandawa in Dutse and Kazaure LGAs.

During the operation, seven suspects were apprehended for their involvement in various criminal activities.

Among them was Haruna Alto’m, a 27-year-old individual from Sabkarawa village, Yankwashi LGA, who is reputed to be a notorious drug dealer causing disturbance in the Kazaure emirate.

Alto’m was found with a significant amount of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and seven cartons containing over two hundred pieces of rubber solution.

Additionally, law enforcement also recovered fifty-six tablets of exol/diazepam and nine capsules of tramadol as part of the operation.

Shiisu emphasized that all the arrested suspects will undergo thorough investigation and be brought before the court to face legal consequences.
