Following a car theft incident, the Jigawa State Police Command has apprehended Mahmud Adam, aged 43, and successfully retrieved a stolen SUV in Gwaram Local Government Area.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Shiisu Adam, disclosed the arrest made on Saturday, June 15, during a press briefing on Sunday, June 16.
The arrest was made after a report was filed regarding a stolen Honda CRV bearing registration number DKD 10 AG, registered to Abba Yahya from Gano town, Dawakin Kudu LGA in Kano State.
It was reported that the vehicle was on its way to Maiduguri, Borno State when intercepted by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Gwaram and his team along the Sara-Darazo road.
Subsequently, both the suspect and the recovered vehicle have been transferred to the Kano State Police Command for further investigations.
