Statement from Pakistan on the Recent Terror Attack at a Mosque in West Afghanistan

Expressing strong condemnation, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry has denounced the recent terrorist attack carried out by gunmen at a Mosque in the west Afghanistan’s Herat province, which resulted in tragic loss of lives and injuries.

In a released statement, the ministry conveyed its deepest sympathies towards the victims and their families affected by this horrific incident.

During this time of sorrow, the ministry stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this tragedy. Pakistan’s people and government stand in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, offering heartfelt condolences.”

Emphasizing on its stance against terrorism, the ministry affirmed that Pakistan stands united against all forms of terrorism and condemns heinous attacks, especially those targeting places of worship.

An assailant opened fire on worshipers during evening prayers at a Mosque in Herat province, resulting in the death of six individuals and injuring one more.
