Statement from Gov Alia regarding Ganduje’s resignation

The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has clarified that he did not call for the resignation of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.

In a press release issued in Makurdi on Wednesday, his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Tersoo Kula, addressed media reports suggesting otherwise.

Kula emphasized that Governor Alia has a positive relationship with the leadership of the APC helmed by Ganduje.

According to Kula, the governor never participated in any discussions or meetings aimed at seeking Ganduje’s resignation.

He affirmed, “Governor Alia has consistently supported the National Working Committee of the APC led by Alhaji Ganduje.”

“There is no record of the governor ever publicly or privately advocating for the resignation of the National party chairman,” Kula further stated.

Highlighting the governor’s commitment to Benue State, Kula added, “Alia is fully engaged in revitalizing the fortunes of the state and the APC within it.”
